Finland's Phlegein proudly play in the tradition of Finnish black metal. Similarities can be drawn to genre stalwarts like Horna, Satanic Warmaster and Sargeist, or to like-minded contemporaries like Cosmic Church or Perisynti. It's a style that's pretty accessible and immediately gripping, with an emphasis on sweeping melodies with basic rhythms, usually played at a tempo somewhere along the mid-paced to fast/blasting spectrum.
